“This one was born in Zion.”
At the time this verse was written, "one born in Zion" meant an Israelite. Genealogies were very important because they established citizenship in the Israelite nation. As Christians, we have spiritual birth in Zion. Heaven is our spiritual home. We are written in the "book of life/register of the peoples."
Lord, thank you for offering us spiritual citizenship in your kingdom. Please help us to live as members of your family. Amen.
